The Passage of the King of Rock N' Roll Shock the World
This was the headline when the undisputed King of Rock 'n' Roll was found unconscious in the toilet of Graceland, his Memphis mansion. Between 1956 and 1977, Elvis received three Grammy Awards, three RIAA Platinum Record Awards, thirty-five RIAA Gold Record Awards, and had a total of 1 hundred and six Best 40 hits. He as well appeared in thirty-three films.
After his divorce from his wife, Priscilla, in 1973, Presley's career started to head out downhill. He constantly concerned about his image and started dieting and taking products to lose excess weight. Bad habits that he previously developed early on in his profession were difficult to improve. Staying up forever and sleeping all day long gave his existence no real pattern or structure. Elvis was observed unconscious on his bath room floor by his girlfriend, Ginger Alden. It had been later disclosed he previously been Lying there for approximately three time before Alden uncovered him. Help was summoned, but all attempts to regenerate him had been futile. His personal medical professional, Dr. George Nichopoulos, pronounced him dead at three-thirty P.M. on August 16, 1977, at a Memphis hospital.
No evidence of any against the law drugs was bought at his home. There have been, however, many drugs approved by his doctor. Elvis experienced suffered "cardiac arrhythmia" (irregular heartbeat) due to "undetermined causes." He'd be ruled lifeless "by natural causes." Tens of thousands of men and women collected outside his Memphis mansion to pay their previous respects to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Elvis Presley was inducted in to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. He was forty-two years old during his death.
