Compassion vs. Insensitivity

In the novel, To Eliminate a Mockingbird, Scout learns a very important lesson about

compassion in coping with the prejudices and insensitivities within her southern town

of Maycomb. Although nearly all her hometown is definitely prejudiced, Scout's mind remains

non prejudice and caring of others. To her, all persons are equal, then, should be

treated equal. Scout can be an individual and a person who will the stand by position her own perspectives

no matter how cruel other persons could be. In her existence, Scout learns to take care of all people fairly

with dignity and respect.

One of the very most important persons in Scout's lifestyle, is her daddy, Atticus. Atticus is a

lawyer who deals with an extremely tough circumstance involving a black gentleman and his rights. Although

Atticus is an individual father, he manages to instruct his children from wrong. He makes it

a common practice to live his lifestyle as he'd like his kids to live theirs, and displays

the characteristics of a genuine, respectable, and kind person. Atticus demonstrates his

feelings by showing the highest respect for everybody in Maycomb, no matter their color
